In reading this thread, I note robertcloud saying the following:

Is this permissible? It seems to me it's a) a personal attack, and b) a homophobic slur. I know we're talking about P&N, but have the rules relaxed to that point? It's particularly odd in that he purports to be some kind of clergyman, but that's a topic for another day . . .

We are looking into it.

In P&N, anything goes.
I expect the mods just try to avoid it as much as possible. Everyone flames everyone else and gives as good as they get.

chowmein, it says "a queer" which means it's being used as slang for a homosexual.

I can't tell if robertcloud is a serious poster or not, but he doesn't seem to post as if he's being aggressive or hateful, just seriously misguided. He appeared to expressed genuine concern that he thought that particular poster was homosexual, citing indications that led him there. His choice of language is a bit.. queer, however, so I don't know..

Anyway Don, are you just lurking in P&N nowadays?

You're no stranger to handing out personal attacks & calling names DV, odd that you'd take offense to it here... ;)

To me it is. Homophobic slurs shouldn't be allowed at all.
