Hey guys and gals,

I know this is a crazy question but is there anyway to internally modify a television that has only an RF jack and add an s-video or composite jack to it. I know you can buy an rf modulator and it does this but in an external way. I have always wondered this so please lmk what you think. Thanks and any help is greatly appreciated :p

It's quite simple. The output of the tuner is a composite signal. Find the output and arrange for the signal to be injected at that point (you'll need to buffer and impedence match the signal).

If you follow the circuit further you should find the filter which splits the composite signal into the chroma and luma parts - you can inject the S-video signals at that point.

Seing as you had to ask such a basic question, I advise you strongly to consider your competence at modifying a television set - these are extremely dangerous devices, and should best be left alone unless you fully appreciate the safety risks, and have the appropriate expertise and equipment to deal with them.
