Hi!

I recently started on with a company called BioPharma Worldwide as an executive recruiter.

The company has been recruiting in the biopharmacutical world for 10+ years now, and we come across alot of great oppertunities.

I figured I'd get the word out there in the ATOT community that I'm in the buisness, and would love to be able to help a fellow ATOTer get a job.

We recruit from and for companies across the board in all sizes and levels of specialization.

Right now we have openings in:

Chicago area (3)
Wisconsin (2)
Michigan (1)

and we are getting more on a regular basis.

Let me know if I can be of help, I'll always talk with you and take a copy of your resume if we don't have anything in your area at the moment. That way, when we do, I can have your info on hand.

What would be a big help for me right now, would be to find someone looking to get into the industry who lives in central WI. We have a great position there, and all the applicant needs is:

4 year degree
Proven field sales sucess

Thanks, and I look forward to working with ATOTers!

You forgot to add good looks. I have yet to see an unattractive pharmaceutical sales rep.

That is what i have heard as well...

To those that do this... is it true the women usually wear tight shirts and short skirts, etc? a good friend and coworker of mine said those girls/women were the most successful...

Yes. My wife and I have been on many a doctor visits the last 5 years because of pregnancies and babies. You can always spot the sales rep by the sexy business clothing inside the office.

Blonde hair, bright red lipstick, short skirt, tight blouse and jacket, 4-5 inch heels FTW

I'll bet LolaWiz could pull that off!

Odd that you should mention it, but the rep that called on me was wearing a low cut blouse with an open jacket today. Probably 2:1 male to female ratio but I bet the young ladies have an easier time with the male docs. The best keep it subtle but I'm sure it works for them.

Yea if you don;t mind selling your soul then go for it. You can make good money but have to do some so-so stuff. As already stated as a example of what women do...

Who are you kidding? You don't "hate to admit it." The quicker you admit and embrace what you do, the better you'll be.

Hey, they do a good job, I would never be able to give poor college kids decent meds without the samples that the reps leave. Most of my samples go out to them and Medicare patients who can't afford their meds. Its a screwy system but without them, my poorest patients would be paying the most for thier meds and still getting 20-30 year old drugs.

Of course sex sells. A friend of mine is young attractive female who is in auto sales and her looks definitely affect her sales and she readily accepts the fact, the key is how to dress attractively without being slutty.

Weird, out of the 5 drug companies that visit our department, only one has a female rep, the others are all old guys. Wonder what they think about us....

On a side note I'd like to thank Organon for the pizza today :)
