I'll start first:

My cat has recurring gingivitis, so I brush her teeth daily.

we have quirky dogs and the weirdest thing i can think of is that i lay my robe on the bathroom tile for the little dog to lay on while i shower and get ready every morning because she doesn't like laying on the tile/bathroom rug alone.
Sometimes i take the dog in the shower with me to give her a bath too.

My dog has enlarged testicles, and if I dont help him out every day, they could explode....

On a truthful note, I dont do anything special for my cat... I clean her litter box I guess, and feed her, shes a good friend though.

I have two cats but wouldn't say I do anything unusual for them, though they are a bit unusual sometimes.

LOL! My dog has what my vet termed 'hyperactive anal glands'. So I have to take the dog to the groomer's every few weeks to get those glands expressed. The poor groomer has to squeeze out all the stinky oil in the glands.

If I don't take the dog in for expressing, it eventually leak some of that nasty stuff on the couch or bed.

Lucky dog! ;)

Edit: My minature Pinscher is drawn to the shower too, but I never let him in. He refuses to drink water out of a bowl and just comes in every morning and laps up the water off the bathroom floor from my shower. I'll usually pour a little out on the floor so he has more.

My son took a bath the other night and I heard a big splash and then "Oh crap!". i ran up and found the dog had jumped in (according to my son) and he was using the loreal kids shampoo to give him a bath!

Not that unusual, but I love my little hamster so much that I put vitamins in his drinking water every day.

Our dog Bacon has that issue once in a while. The stench is awful. We even considered having them removed at one point. If the stool is solid/hard that usually solves the problem.

We have a couple of guinea pigs that I prepare a nightly "treat" of some romaine, a wedge of apple, and a couple of other fruit and veggie things including baby carrots. Our cocker spaniel would hang around when I first started this in the evening so I would toss her a baby carrot as a treat. It has now expanded into a nightly ritual where I give the cocker and our black lab each 3 baby carrots and the 2 beagles each a milk bone broken into 3rds so each dog gets equal amounts of treat.

We brush ours' twice a week or so, but we still had to spend $600 to get 6 of one of our cat's teeth pulled because of her gingivitis/infected teeth. If you have to get dentistry for your cat in the future, you should request a gum biopsy to make sure it doesn't have lymphocytic-plasmacytic gingivitis stomatitis. If it does have stomatitis and it gets worse, you may need to get all its teeth past the canines pulled. Unfortunately, there's no real treatment for the disease.

Ours, quite surprisingly, didn't have stomatitis...hopefully the removal of her really bad molars will prevent further infection. She's much happier, more active and eats better now, so all the work and expense was worth it!

I have a tiny little Teacup Poodle, she's 16 years old and her teeth are in bad shape. To ensure she eats good, I will get her an Arby's Roast Beef on occasion, and every time I get Taco Bell, she gets a Steak Quesadilla all to herself!
As for the Min. Pinscher, his treat is that I allow him to live another day!!! LOL, he is quite a good dog, just hyper.

when i go to quiznos I always get my golden retriever a roast beef sub.

When I drive somewhere (ie the mall, walmart, etc), she usually goes with me.

If he's on my bed and already asleep, I won't move him, I'll just sleep next to him.

I help take care of my sister's diabetic half blue heeler/dalmatian because she is busy with school, work, a relationship and she loves this dog to death. She is one of those people who says her pets are her children and won't hear any talk about putting the dog down... It is a pain in the ass, the dog requires a strict diet, exercise regimen, blood sugar level monitoring and two shots of insulin everyday. Not only is it very expensive and take planning between our schedules, giving that dog shots is a complete pain in the ass and the experience has ruined my outlook on getting my own dog.

I feed them, pick up after them and groom them...well, the dog anyway. I let the cat sleep on our bed. The dog is lucky she's alive after some of the crap she pulled when she was a puppy. :|

That's pretty much it.

My wife goes nuts every now and then worrying about the needs of the dog but I keep reeling her back in to reality. For example, we took the dog with us to Palm Springs for Thanksgiving. This is a 1.5 hour drive and she kept asking me if I thought we should pull over to walk the dog...mind you, this is an animal who sits in the house for 9+ hours every freaking day holding it in until we get home from work (she's a black lab...big bladder). Women...
