In our nevereding quest to go through and post all our wedding pictures -- we're trying to see if there's a neat way to present your photographs, sorta in a photobook type of way. I have gallery2 setup to display the rest of the photos but I'm wondering if there's a better way, maybe with some flash, to display the say the best 25-30 pictures from the wedding?

I'm thinking of either an online photobook or something simpler, that would just loop through the pictures with some blending transistion in between. If you've seen or have a really nice photo presentation online, pls post em! :)

Check out his galleries.

He uses ShowIt Web - which makes flash slideshows. It's not cheap. And it is David's thing.

David is an awesome photog.

I use ProShow for my clients - I may purchse ShowIt Web - you can download a free trial. I dunno what limitations it has though.

SimpleViewer works good and is free but is more of a gallery than a slideshow. I use it on my webpage for displaing my portfolio.

I had a similar desire to make a nice slideshow of pics and didn't like a lot of the slideshow viewers. I ended up 'stealing' a commonly used idea off sites like Friendster and MySpace and went with RockYou. It may not suit your needs, since you may want something nicer, but it suited mine (and it's free)!

Thanks guys, might give simpleviewer and proshow a try. But dang, davidjay.com has some really nice slideshows, wish I had skills like that.

Keep the suggestions coming! :)

damnit, showitweb is expensive :(

Yeah it's marketed towards professional photographers who want an easy way to do flash slideshows on their website.

It's good software though. You can use whatever song you want and create a timing file for it, so the pictures change with the beats of the music and such...and it's pretty easy to use.

it had better be for $200. I want to do something nice for my friends who were just married.... maybe i can offer to do some slideshows for some people... heh

You can download a fully functional trial version. Well..I dunno if you can save/publish the finished flash or it may watermark it or something. But at least you can try out the software.
