I went to one of the city's best auto shops today. He said he didnt have time today, but I told him that the radiator fan isnt working, neither is the ac blowing cold, and this is the biggest problem of all, I have this stoumach grumbling like sound every time i press on the brakes. Its gotten much louder recently. The Car is a grand am 96 gt.

Also, will drum brakes make a scractching sound when they are bad?

THANKS for readin dudes I just dont wanna get ripped.

i really wanna stres.. that stoumach grumbling sound only comes when i press the brakes. but the top left pads and rotor were just changed.

Your AC isn't going to blow cold if the condensor ( layman's terms, radiator for A/C) can't cool the refrigerant... Which if the fan isn't turning it won't be able to.

I assume this is an electric fan. Have you checked for power at the fan? Are there 1 or 2 fans? It doesn't come on when you turn the A/C on either? Then it's probably not the thermal switch in the radiator (the A/C being on should override that anyway). Have you checked for any blown fuses, or bad relays? Also what kind of car? Really not much info in the OP.

Brakes - yes, worn out brakes can/will often make scraping noises drum or disc.

Top Left???

You have top and bottom pads? Left? You didn't have the right wheel done at the same time?

brakes should always been done an axle at a time (ie front or rear). And there's typically 4 pads - left inner and outer, right inner and outer.

And pads are for disc brakes. Shoes are for drum.

Radiator fan is most likely a blown fuse. Check your fuse box.

Brakes, who knows, get them checked out and most likely replaced.

This is probably the most worrisome statement of all... Do you realize that if you have a brake grinding noise, and you ignore it you are only doing more damage and you are driving the cost of the repair up?

Yes. I have replaced rotor and pads on the top left nd have purchased pads and a rotor for the top right, i was just worrying it was something else other than the brakes. Sorry if my sentences seem screwed up, I also sprained my wrist lat week, and am typing with my left hand

Saw it all the time... it's a common thing to do because people don't know any better. I guess the mentality is, if it still runs and takes me where I want to go, it's good.

I've seen motors so sludged from over 20k without an oil change it took about 10minutes for what little oil that wasn't sludge to drain out. The customer insisted it was good and drove it out... smoking and all. Most sane people get a shocked look and slap down money to fix brake problems. They're fairly easy to fix if caught early on... at worst, cost isn't THAT much usually.

EDIT: by top you mean front?
