Calling all IPOD owners...

Do you mean transfering songs from the ipod to your computer? You can't do that with the iTunes software but you can get a plugin for winamp which allows you to do so.

You can upload from an ipod, you just need a program other than itunes. I imagine it has to do with keeping the big labels happy and thinking that it is safe if apple does not support it. They dont really oppose it because im sure they could lock it.

Search google for ipodlounge or ipodforums. I cant remember the name, but it has mac and pc software for this.

they act as exteranl hard drive too, so you could definatly upload with them, and they support WMA as well as MP3s

Can you use Windows explorer ?

you can use another program to rip off the mp3's hidden in ur ipod. ephpod, ipod agent, etc.

also, when ur ipod is plugged in. goto /iPod Control/Device and create a file called '_show_voltage'
this gets rid of the annoying battery meter and turns it into a numerical output. 500~ = max charge, ~200 = recharge warning.
