Calling all Indians... any bhangra aficionados in here?

I've tried hard not to like this nonsensical music but I have to admit I find it catchy. I've been downloading some off Kazaa. I like the more upbeat, less rappy stuff. Stuff like "Munde Bhangra Punde" by DJ Kucha... the type of sh!t you'd hear at a wedding, I'm ashamed to say.

Anybody with any suggestions what other songs to look for?

Panjabi MC - The Album, his album just came out...the big single off of it is called "Mundian to Bach Ke"...there's even a remix by Jay-Z on there...

There's a lot of good music out there, but that should be the easiest to find...now I'm sure there are a lot of other bhangra listeners here to help educate you.

Bhangra songs eh? Look for songs like "Aish Karo" by AS Kang (its a wicked song), then there's "Ishq" by Sukhbir (most of his songs are very good, but I love this one the most), "Mundian to Bach Ke" by Punjabi MC, some songs by Jazzy B. With Jazzy B, some songs are good while some are crap..it depends on which one you listen too.

But definately check out "Aish Karo", you'll love it!

My favorite songs are all by B21 .... I'm not the biggest Panjabi MC fan, but I love B21. There songs are "Osa Kudi","Darshan" and I can't remember what else. Another very different type of singer is Malkit Singh ... he has songs like "Mahi meri jaan". Again not a big Panjabi MC fan but my two favorite songs by them are "Jaat Hayo Sharabee" ... it's background is from Magnum PI
