The form factor of my case calls for low profile. I'm going to be running into one of the two VGA inputs on my set. The motherboard has an optical out integrated, I'll run that to the reciever.

I've got a $40 ebay/paypal giftcard thing. If possible I'd like to use that and nothing more, but my budget isn't limited to that.

I want to be able to push hi-def video with this thing, so what size card do I need at a minimum (128mb, 256mb, etc.).

I used a 6600gt about 8 months ago that worked well. I actually had to get a low profile bracket for it that was designed for some ATI card though.
 
So people can get by with speaker and home theater questions in here, but this, by your say so, isn't cool? Suck me n00b.
