Calling all Ferengi

Bankrate.com has a neat little article of when is the best month to buy certain items (based on price), such as:

March: best for Frozen Foods (because it's Frozen Food Month)
April: Wallpaper and paint (probably because of spring cleaning)

Some are commonplace, like:

September: Homes
October: Cars
