Hey Guys,

I just recently built a new system with an epox 8kha mobo and an athlon 1.4, and the system is running fine, and really well, but, i'm just wondering bout certain things:

1. the onboard LED's right now say "FF".
- does that mean something? if so, is it a problem that must be fixed?
- what do i need to do?

2. the computer makes random beeps, it's not even uniform, just random little beeps here and there and they're not even loud, but you can hear them.
- any ideas?

other than that, the system runs fine, no problems at all. any suggestions or help are appreciated, thanks alot in advance

The FF display on the LED is the code that the system has passed the booting of the BIOS, and so everything is cool. As for your beeps, I dunno. Have you tried maybe switching the orientation of the PC speaker? Or maybe unplugging it to see if that's what's causing the beeps in the first place?

the "FF" is normal: it just means that control of the boot is going to the drive. The random "beeps" are another matter. There is a chance that they are warning beeps for the temperature of the CPU. If you go into the bios and check the 'PC Health" (or something like that), you'll see some temperatures, voltages etc. If the cpu temperature is above the "warning" temperature, I think that you are going to get the "beeps". Something to check out, certainly.
