I want one and I don't know how much longer I can hold out. I have a few questions for owners of these things...

How much did you pay for it?
How long have you had it?
Is it worth it or do you have regrets?
What kind of a video card do you run it on?

Any other comments?

I have two 20" FPs right now and I would put them in portrait mode on each side of the 3007WFP.

Dell's "days of deals" is on again. Hopefully it will go on sale for you. I'm waiting for the 2407wfp to go on sale.

So you'll have a 20, a 30, and a 20? Dude you'll get a tan sitting in front of all that.

If, sorry, WHEN, it happens, PLEASE post pictures :D

I have an Apple 30", which isn't the Dell, but it sure is similar. I bought it for $2100 in March of 2005, and it was the best purchase I've ever made. I bought before the Dell came out, but if I had waited, I would've gotten the Dell. The Apple looks better, but it's not worth the price premium.

No regrets. Just make sure no one touches it. Some douche slammed his laptop lid into my screen when we were working side by side, and it now has scratches on the screen. Goddamnit. I used to have a 7800GTX running the monitor, but since I stopped gaming, I'm using a Radeon X1300 (non-Pro). If you need help determining which card will work, feel free to shoot over a PM.

I actually picked up this monitor a few months ago during the WiPro deal. I got it for $1,550 + $50 (3 yr service). An awesome price that I was not able to pass it up. Well, I had no money, but my gf bought it for me as my next year's worth of bday and xmas presents =)

Overall impressions? No regrets, period. If you can, get this monitor. Mine was in perfect condition - no dead pixels, very minimal backlight bleeding. This monitor is not only awesome for gaming, but it is great for multitasking. I can get so much work done on this monitor, too. Some days I just work from home because I can do work so much more efficiently at home like a spreadsheet/database master.

I'm running a EVGA Nvidia 7900gt with dual link dvi (in case you ever want to get a 2nd 30 inch display). I know of the monitor setup you're thinking about
LINK

I actually have 2/3 of that setup with the 3007 and one 2001fp. I will eventually pick up a second 2001fp, but the new 2007fp's just came out and have the matching base with the 3007. But, that's just being picky, lol. Anyways, it works great for me, and you should definitely get that setup if you can (and post pics when you do!). I'll try and post pics of mine when I get home. Nvidia's NVIEW options do a great job of handling my two monitors. I'm not sure about ATI's drivers, but always read good reviews on Nvidia's so thats why I chose the 7900gt. I play mostly Counterstrike: Source and it runs it great in full native resolution (older game).

If you do decide to jump though, be warned, you will not be able to go back to anything smaller. Its mean, but everytime I look behind me at my gf's 17inch LCD, I just want to laugh....haha

Kind of hard to reply when you post in the middle of the night. But anyways...

How much did you pay for it? 1499 CDN + TAX

How long have you had it? Since march.

Is it worth it or do you have regrets? Its totally worth it. Nothing else will give you this experience.

What kind of video card do you run it on? 7900 GTX SLI

Any other comments? Well gaming does not get much better thats for sure. I play games with everything maxed out, 2x AA and 4x AF. With quad SLI, you could do 4x AA and 8/16 AF. But sincerely beta drivers just came out, I think it needs a little more time to pick up. By the way, you cant do SLI if you are going to use more then one monitor.

I have one at work, we paid $1684.04 with overnight shipping. It is being run by a Nvidia Quadro FX 3400. It looks absolutely fantastic, and we have absolutely no regrets whatsoever about it. The machine running is is for editing HD/SD video and it looks fantastic for that.

We have never gamed on it, so I cant help you there. However the monitor is spectacular to use. You simply have not experienced an amazing desktop working environment until you realize just how much space 2560x1600 provides.

About $1800 shipped off ebay. I've had it for about 2 weeks, and it's completely worth it. Running off a 7900gt.

So everyone who has one is totally happy with it and has no regrets... That's awesome for the enthusiast in me but sucks for my wallet. Hopefully I can get it on their 30 month no interestest plan. If not, I guess I'll just be buying one straight out.

Now I just need to decide if I want a top end video card now or the cheapest dual-link card I can find to hold me over until DX10 is out.
