Sounds like a dumb question, but i'm only 18 and my cooking experience extends as far as ramen. Can I use a stove to cook a hamburger, and if so, anyone have a good recipe/method?

Detailed Directions
1) Make ground beef into patty
2) Sprinkle salt and pepper on each side of patty
3) Put patty in pan and cook for a while
4) Flip patty and cook for a bit less
5) Repeat 4 and 5 until the the hamburger is cooked to your liking

Short Directions
1)Put beef in pan
2)Cook

Seriously, could you really not figure this out on your own?

unless you want dried beef, avoid a George Foreman Grill. Another good thing to do is poke holes through the burger in various spots using something thick and round (such as the end of a mixing beater or a wooden spoon handle) this helps it cook more thoroughly, and quicker. Add cheese toward the end and cover (if you want a cheese burger).
