I am looking into getting a whole new exhaust system for my '96 Beretta Z26... I am interested in getting more horsepower, and it being a dual exhaust... i dont want it to roar or anything, just more horsepower... what kind of prices am i looking at? and what companies should i look for? i was told that borla is overrated, and your just buying the name... thanks

Take it to a greasy exhaust shop in your town. The greasier the better. Just tell em what you want and they'll bend something up for ya. If you really wanna pay out the a$$, look around for a place that does mandrel bending, that'll give you the best flow and best HP, but it's expensive and not many places do it (Borla, et. al use mandrel bends in their systems). The greasy shop will use crush bends, but I'll say that the HP difference will be minimal, and with the money you save, it really is worth it.

I paid $180 for a complete single outlet catback on my car, including muffler and tip.

Don't go to Mieneke or Midas, they'll bend you over.

Flowmasters

It should run you any where from 200-380 fully installed, including all the piping, etc. They'll rumble, and give you that roar you want. 🙂
