so every year i try to plant something new for a gardening experiment.
the past 2 years have been carrots, which have worked out quite well.

this year for a change, I think i want to either plant black berry or strawberries...

both of these are new expeeriences with me... so guide me in the right direction.
 
Strawberries are easier to grow than blackberries. You might want to search OhioLine (google for it - it's Ohio State University's Extension Reference) for strawberries, berries, etc., and it'll provide quite a bit of information. If you still need more help than that, you might be able to call your local extension service, and failing that, one of Ohio State's. 😉
 
blackberries are a noxious weed. don't plant them, you can never get rid of them. strawberries are easy to grow, but sometimes you need to find a way to protect them from hungry birds
