Calling all Australians

Just checking whether any Australians who are in need of decent 120mm fans would like to setup a group purchase for these: http://tekgems.com/Products/et-13713-fan-d12sl-12.htm.

Iv been looking for some good, quiet case fans myself and came across these, which are pretty much identicle to the nexus fans that everyone seems to rave about. Yate Loon make the fans for nexus, who rebadge them and lower the rpm from 1350 to 1000rpm.

Theres a review here: http://tekgems.com/reviews/yate-loon-120-12-25mm-roundup.htm

Since our choice of good, quiet 120mm fans is fairly limited in Australia (Glacialtech Silentblades and Aerocool Turbines are looking promising) i thought there would be quite a few people interested in this. I know pccasegear will be getting the nexus fans in stock in a few weeks, but i have no doubts in saying that they will be above the $30.

If we get these in bulk, we could save a ton on postage, and get each fan for as low as $4.99 USD each. Just post here if your interested, and i guess we'll go from there.

Cheers,

hmmm....probably should've posted this on the whirlpool forums. Dont actually know how many Aussies forum here 😕

Well the nexus fans are considered to be the best fans on the market (for their DBA:CFM ratio anyway). And nexus acctually rebadge these Yate Loon fans and just lower their rpm a bit, so these should be just as awsome. Cant say iv tried them myself, but i got heaps of recomendations for the nexus, meaning these fans are pretty good. Panaflos arnt really popular for being silent are they? Im sure their good fans, but i think you get some noise with that. Although i could be wrong with that too, cause i havent tried them either.

Just going on what iv heard.

Yeah i should, good idea. Iv been too lazy to even register an account over there as yet

The 80-92mm Panaflos are among the best fans out there in terms of air flow to noise. The 120mm Panaflos in my experience (L1A's here) have some slight bearing noise that drops off steadily as you reduce speed/voltage. At 5v it's almost completely gone but the fan still moves a decent amount of air, note this is coming from someone who is extremely picky about PC noise.
