Calling All ATOT Amateur Doctors (again!)

I got such great advice last time, I had to come back for more.

Just about 2 weeks ago I was playing soccer, and I kicked the hell outta this guy, shin to shin basically. I limped for a day, then it started feeling better and better. I could tell it was bruised, but it didnt swell too noticeably. After the sensitivity to touch dissipated a bit, I decided to try and massage it to help the bruise go away (not even sure if that will do anything). What I discovered was that with a little pressure, my skin would depress and stay there. With a bit of pressure, I could make some nice divots! Here are 2 pics, taken in poor lighting.

I could take better pics, but I think you will get the idea.

It stays like that for a good 20 min or so before it goes back to normal. That whole section of leg does it, not just where the dents are now, but I just wanted to show some contrast.

Hmm, I dont know if this is a doctor or stupid human trick thread after all...

BTW, I *was* wearing shin guards...

Youve got edema in the leg, basically fluid in the interstitial spaces. SOmehow it's not draining into your circulatory system via the normal lymphatic channels. Elevating the leg will cause the fluid to drain out of the leg.

Your cellular bone matter is decomposing due to an extreme shift in the space-time continuum near your shin area. I advise to recalibrate your deflector dish to reverse the polarity and emit a gravitron pulse toward the center of the anomaly.

A vampire has sucked the blood out of the area and you received a reverse mosquito bite. Call the poison control center immediately.

Other: You're gonna get ass rape by a raging silver back on viagra and your gonna die from brain hemorrhage.

I had the same thing happen when I started Karate. Now my shins are sharp and hard with knots all over them.

This will happen when a large muscle undergoes a blunt trama. I think the term for it is edema if I recall. It's usually caused by fluid forming around the muscle. If you keep your leg elevated above your heart at night, the fluid should go back into your bloodstream in a few days.

I remember a couple of cases where this was caused by blood clots though, and the fluid was actually blood pooling. In both cases, it was people involved in a severe car accident. If you feel any shortness of breath, dizziness, or chest pains, get to a doctor ASAP.
