Hi,

I've just upgraded to WinXP (Beta) from WinME.

I've remember the trouble I had getting my graphics speed up to what it should be when I upgraded to WinME and now i'm suffering the same problems with WinXP.

I think it is something to do with either the AGP driver or it something else ???
I have been to the AMD website and installed their latest drivers for Win2000 but I still only get low graphics performance. i.e. WinXP,1200 in 3DMark2001 when I scored 2300 in WinME and low FPS scores in UT and Quake3.

I know this is something to do with AGP or graphics patches and not because i've upgraded to WinXP.

Can someone help, with either telling which files I need or steering me in the right direction, thanks.

My Setup is

AMD Athlon 700Mhz
Ge-Force DDR
Asus K7M

Give me 6 more months of learning and then I can help you. Can you wait that long considering nobody else is helping you right now?

Format your hard drive and go back to using WinME (preferably Win98 SE if you still have it) and use the VIA 4-in-1 4.29 or earlier drivers. The latest 4-in-1's are a little buggy.
