I consider myself knowledgable at Flash, but I can't find an answer to this question. Is there anyway to make an animation move to the beat of the music easily through some sort of scripting or other similar method? I'm making a movie for fun and I want a character's hand to move to the beat of the music.

can't you just do it yourself? Like make his hand move every 2 seconds (or however long the beat of the music takes)

i'll do more research, but try these?
i know it can be done, have seen it... but forget where
macromedia def has some cool links to some sites... house music/techno/dnb sites do that sort of thing a lot?
good luck!

also check out FlashFlashRevolution.. They do a flash version of that Dance Dance Revolution game that syncs up the arrow beats with songs. You can probably get one of those files and just do an SWF Decoder on it to figure out how it's done.
