Not that I will be surprised if they find out it did happen, but the story does not say she was raped.

This was on the radio this morning. Didn't read the articles, but the radio said the very next day he was at school teaching his driver's ED class like it was just a normal day. When the students in the class found out they freaked and said he was acting completely normal, even joking around.

DIAF...

I wasn't really trying to be humorous, it is a crappy thing that happened and I hope he fries. But I've been watching lots of Smallville recently, and just thought the coincidence was kind of odd.

Did he do it? I see nothing mentioning that they have actual evidence.

I wonder at the extent of her broken neck. Hopefully it severed no nerves, though that seems unlikely...

Makes you thankful.

What? Dude, change your thread summary, neither article stated that she was raped or even sexually assaulted. A bunch of journalists are speculating, but the police are being professionals and not releasing these details.

He strangled her and left her in the forest though, and that's still pretty messed up. I'd like to know whether he was provoked or if he's just crazy.

umm neither one of the articles mention anything about rape....

Doesn't need to. Guy, 17 year old girl... do the math.

They had a "relationship" but nothing is known about the nature of this relationship. Who said they had sex?

And everyone is still ignoring that they listed no evidence. I can totally see him as being a suspect, but let's see some evidence before we go condemning him.

My guess is, this a-hole has probably done something like this before, but not been caught. That action seems like a serial to me.
I hope she recovers.

You know full-well that logic does not belong here.

Yea. I'm all for stringing the guy up if he is convicted, but the OP is out of line.

If you read the article, you'll notice she was apparently driving a Jeep that belonged to her boyfriend (which isn't = the supposed attacker). When found she was unable to speak. I'd like to know how then, they're so sure it was the teacher that did it, maybe it was her boyfriend? Why would the teacher stick around acting like nothing ever happened after he just broke a girls neck and left her to die in a park somewhere? You'd think he would've skipped town or something. He probably did do it... but the article is vague enough to leave a few things open for questioning.

For all we know, they may not "be so sure", but the news could just be spinning it that way. Villainous (is that a word?) teachers always sell more papers.
