I have been playing call of Duty2 a lot recently. I am taking a break from WoW and hoping that something better comes along. Anyway, I am a marginal player in COD2. I usually end up with an equal amount of kills and killed's. I have noticed a few things though with other players that make me question if they are really that much better or is have they tweaked there setting or are they just hackers.
Under the are they that much better category
1. Some players seem to be able to line me up and shoot me in one shot a lot faster than I can. I once saw a player jump up over a wall and shoot me dead in one shot. I was not standing in the same place.
2. I usually come out on the losing side of close quarter encounters whereby I and the other player straff from right to right or move back and forth. I would say I win like 3 out of 10 times.
Have they tweaked their settings?
1. Some players seem to move faster and jump higher. I am talking about servers where there is no "sprint" option.
2. Similar to #2 under "are they better"....Other players seem to shoot faster than me.
Hacks that I have heard about... any to add?
1. Ability to see through walls
2. Ability to walk through or shoot through walls
3. Aim-bots
4. Some hacks which I think exist but do not know about:

- Insta-heal or some type of virtual body armor - lets just say you hit them and hit them and they don't go down
