i just got the game and says go here

do i just get the latest one or do i have to start from the oldest and work my way to the newest? please help me ready to kill some zombies!

you sure someone said 1.6 or 1.5 has all the updates... then you can go to 1.7, but 1.7 doesnt say it has any updates really.. and is a small file

You need the 1.7 Ultimate patch, it contains all of the patches, that you need to apply in order. It's like 3.7 GB!
