Activision Reveals Call of Duty: Vanguard and it is 270GB

Vanguard is the newest Call of Duty title, coming this time from Sledgehammer games for a November release. Also, the file size is HUGE.

Back to WW2 and spans all campaign fronts. The last two games looked good in the let's plays I watched, and I'd like to play this one too. But they're all automatic no-buys for me with their Battle.net launcher requirement.

Oh, and pucker up that storage orifice, folks: 270GB install size.

ROFLMAO... im dying right now on the floor laughing at the 270GB install size....
First we got expensive as hell videocards.... now we need expensive as hell SSD's to hold all those games without having to delete reinstall each time we want to play something.

Perhaps that large map count is part of why the Xbox store is currently stating a file size of 270GB for Vanguard. It’s possible that number includes Warzone, which is infamously humongous, but just a warning that prospective buyers might need to do some fridge-cleaning before the game comes out.

not that i've played any COD games at all since COD2...but jesus christ almighty. the game content better be absolutely massive for 270gb. do they have like 16k texture packs or something?

Typical size for cod games lately. Mostly a 4-6hr campaign and the rest is multiplayer so no idea why the size of the whole title is that large. I mostly play the single player mode and usually I have 1 or 2 friends that may want to do multiplayer now and then.

I am not interested in this one. I like the newer Modern Warfare(2019), and Warzone is ok, but I am not a fan of BOCW and I am not really looking to get into another COD soon.
