Call of Duty-United Offensive, no menu icons

I installed this game twice but I still can't see any icons in the game menu. When I move the curser over the menu window it makes a clicking noise like the icons are there but I can't see them. When I click in those areas that make the clicking noise, another menu comes up with the icons missing also. Any help is appreciated.

Just a couple of quick questions..When you reinstalled did you first uninstall and also manually delete the install directory to insure no post install files remained? Also what kind of mouse are you using?...there seem to be some 5 buttom mice that are not supported. Thats about all I can think of ...I dont beleive there are any HUD settings that could be causing this.

Yes, I did uninstall the game, as well as the directory. I am using a Microsoft wireless USB mouse with 5 buttons. I will switch that out tonight and see how that works. I have just emailed COD tech support, so maybe they will be able to do something. Thanks for the help.
