The installation program says that the original Call of Duty isn't installed on my computer, when it in fact is.

I'm thinking manual installation, but I haven't found any instructions for such a thing.

Help?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the original COD? That'd be the first thing I tried....

Do you have the latest COD patches? I think it might be looking for the newest vers of COD. I remember seeing this before somewheres.

I'll try updating CoD, if I haven't already.

Yeah, reinstalling CoD came to my mind early as well...I'll try that.

Oh, I remember reinstalling WindowsXP on my C: partition, whilst I left my D: partition alone. CoD might be removed from the Windows registry, that could be the problem right?

Yeah that's the problem. It was left over from an old Windows install and the registry isn't in your new Windows.

Is there a way to add it to the registry without reinstalling it? Not that I'm unwilling to do that, but I'm curious. :)
