13-year-olds is the reason why I don't play games online anymore, ESPECIALLY Call of Duty.

it's probably cause they can whoop your ass.

it does suck not being as good as this new generation at some of these shooters, but i've come to just accept it.

I use the same shit on people who rage on CoD as well.

"Get the flag!!"
",... hello"

"Stop sucking ass, you ass sucker!!"
",... hello"

"I'll kick all your asses in this game! I am the greatest!!"
",... hello"

"FUCK YOU MAN! I am just going to ignore your dumb ass!!"
",... hello"

Haha, that's actually pretty funny.

Well yes, that too.

And the fact that Call of Duty is a fucking terrible game.

BINGO!!!

Actually, most of the TF2 I am playing (ya, I know, not CoD) is with people in their 20's. Anytime a 12 year old squeeks up and thinks they can talk smack it is pretty easy to cow them with simply "yo momma" and "that's what your mother said" jokes.

You do not even need to be vulgar.

They just can't handle a true put-down, especially if you remember what they say and use it back against them. You can have the entire board laughing.

The only key is, don't insult them directly. Only on their social cues. If you start saying they are a bad person you could end up with a pistol-sucker on your conscience. :(

You know you're old when kids beat you at games. Sort of like the mid life crisis for gamers, no?

Ha-That's actually how it looks on the COD server I play. The players' average age is 40+ years old. Players chat about their teenaged children and some even have grandkids! It's very civilized and the only trash-talk is done in jest.

LOL, I brought this up this morning with my 7th graders who just finished Internet safety a few weeks ago. I try to teach them proper netiquette as well as the common stuff like not sharing personal information. This story covers all of that :)
Just let me know when you need your next lesson and I'll get right on it.

I always wonder where the idea of 13 yr olds kicking your ass online comes from. It never happens to me in CoD. But everytime I play any HALO game I am quickly reminded how true that can be. I can't for the life of me land headshots. And some kid walks it with a DRM and in two shots, I'm dead. F-f-f-f-fuck.
That comic was spot on. I wish their was a playlist with no headshots. lol.

I hardly ever use my xbox for games, but I tried out the new BF3 demo, and yeah, 13 year olds cursing and crying about a head shot or whatever is pretty damn annoying. I just took the headset off. Turned the game off after 5 minutes actually.
