Such utter stupidity by all involved, especially Activision for letting it happen. Another question is, does this affect retail store copies? Are they steam or windows store?

I saw this is MS not playing nice with steam or is Steam not playing nice with MS?
Gabe has been very vocal about not liking the MS store.

From RPS:

Microsoft, asked about this by Windows Central, said “We support cross-play between devices and platforms for partners who want to enable it.” That would suggest a decision at Activision is behind this, though we could only guess at their reasons. It seems unlikely that they’d release a substandard version without cause, though maybe it would’ve been better to simply not release it there.

My guess is MS offers some kind of lump sum to get titles onto the Windows store. And Activision did the bare minimum to get that lump sum because they don't care about Windows Store since its not even available on most Windows systems.
