If I wanted to play Halo, I'd just play Halo. I guess they've are completely abandoning the idea that COD is based on anything realistic.

Exactly. I guess that COD really started to die with Black Ops 3.

I'm waiting for the COD4 remake though. IMO, the (realistic) MW series are (by far) the best.

2.2 million dislikes on youtube...

lmao...

Infinity Ward is going to need to pull a white rabbit out of this hat which has a dark hole equivalent to a black hole.

COD was around when we were sadly in our teens and 20's. The new generations like space, jumping, and all this sci-fi stuff. Sorry old people. It was time for you to give it up years ago. Don't you hear your babies crying in the other room?

Ironic enough, Battlefield seems to be the new middle age game for guys clinging on to the last bastion of their childhood. Yet I overhear so many family members on their mics on clan chats !

FWIW the gaming market hasn't been that young for ages and its only getting older with time. The young have time, but the old have money. Companies care more about money.

Parents pay for their kids to play COD though. And they have too, because COD is a new virtual way of socializing. How is little Johnny going to play with his friend?

But, but, but we had Unreal Tournament !

Oh I stopped playing CoD many moons ago, when it became a console game.

Battlefield fared quite well for a time but the last good version IMO was BFBC2 which oddly was a console port, but nailed gameplay on the PC.

The reaction we've seen to trailers recently with Infintite warfare having an insane dislike ratio makes me feel that the bubble that is the same thing over and over again aimed at console gamers is finally about to pop and maybe gaming will move towards being great again, like the good old days.

Millions of casual gamers flooding the market has really disrupted gaming in the last 15-20 years, hopefully they'll start to evolve some standards and start demanding games that are actually good 🙂
