"Announced" today. Release date of Nov. 5th for Xbox, PS3, PC, PS4 and NextBox. Can't watch the Youtube video or check any gaming sites at work, but this article should sum it up.

Infinity Ward developed. New engine. Not related to other games. Guess the Modern Warfare IP has come to an end and this will be IW's new CoD IP. More to be revealed at the NextBox event on the 21st.

Doubtful. The competitive scene is much bigger with COD than with anything else. They just had the COD Championships where the total prize pool was $1m and $400k went to the winning team of 4.

ok i finally watched it with sound and it makes more sense lol, doesn't really tell much though.

very very smart of activision to show this game off at the 720 reveal. first world glimpse will be on the next gen console. smooth, very smooth.

So, I got a chance to watch the video (youtube blocked at work. How am I supposed to work with youtube blocked?) and I like the concept. I imagine it will be some kind of 'black ops' type of stuff based on the mask and name.

well considering the release is november 5th, and consoles have historically come out late november, that is a pretty obvious bet to make.

I do find it strange, actually. Given that the 2nd Tuesday would be 11-12-13 (and thus highly desirable to embed as a release date for the holidays), it means that Activision couldn't take the original date for a reason. Whatever that reason is, they felt it was important enough to be out a week earlier then that date, rather than be after it. I'd put money on a rival releasing something that Activision caught wind of early enough to adjust their schedule.

Not that I play the series consistently (My experiences are limited to doing co-op hardcore team DM with my BIL, who is career military, so YMMV).
