Anyone playing it? Link
The regular Ghosts multiplayer is infested with hackers and has hilariously few players (around 6,000 during prime time.) Also, all the guns sound and feel the same, the environments are all kind of the same color and it generally sucks. As a result, you can sometimes sit at the matching screen waiting for a round for 5-10 minutes. Many of the game modes are totally unplayable because there's simply no one else playing them.
But I recently discovered extinction, and I dare say it makes the game worth the price of admission. 4 players work together to defend a drill as you destroy alien hives. You have different classes and perks, purchasable weapons, challenges... And for the most part the people playing are great team players.
The new map, Nightfall, just came out for PC a couple days ago. The DLC is outrageously priced at $15, but I bought it just for more extinction. I can't believe the season pass is $45. That's how much a good game costs.
