Call of Duty Black Ops lost rank

It happened to me the other night. I lost my rank (only prestige level one rank 40) It set me back to level one. I also lost all my progress in all my challenges. All my Perks were reset as well. I started playing again and my Prestige came back but that's it. All challenge progress is still gone.

I have seen forums talk about this and it seems to be happening to a lot of others.

Worst part now is I cannot edit my custom classes. I am basically stuck with the classes I created when I lost my rank.:mad:

Anybody ever find a way to fix this issue?
Anybody ever have this happen in any other Steam game?

what kind of freakin game is designed to corrupt your save file at random? Makes no sense.

At least you didn't go into a lobby and get -6846516846519684651 points per kill. There was a hack on MW2 that did that on both PC and console. Sent people back to level 1 prestige 1. Consider yourself lucky.

Even with all of the garbage, CoD 6 is still better than Black Ops IMO. Treyarch is a terrible game studio.

Oh it's not even close. I played MW2 on the ps3 and it was a damn good game. I just tried Blops for the free weekend promo, and it got uninstalled after 2 hours. It's just boring.
