This game is very good but filled with memory issues. When memory issues are sorted it out than it will run like charm on Both AMD and Nvidia GPU.

It has only memory issue to sort it out.

Hmm, was hoping this would be good. I could do with some good split-screen co-op. Hope they get the bugs ironed out in time for the Steam Sales :p

It's almost as bad as Arkham Knight at launch. A shame, since it has so much promise. I trust that it'll be fixed quickly, though.

I don't get how a game like cod can even launch in this state. with all the money they make on the franchise

crashing due to memory leaks in system ram...
nothing to do with drivers or gpu's.

even consoles are getting a day one patch
http://www.independent.co.uk/life-s...day-one-patch-size-release-date-a6722376.html

game is getting good reviews..9.5

Just one of the issues. it supposedly gets better if graphics settings are turned down.

There's a problem in every area really.

It's embarrassing because Treyarch has built up a decent reputation as a developer over the years. That's why it's extra disappointing to see this regression on their part.

I still play BLOPS 2 from time to time. This game getting modtools would enable a more clean/competitive playstyle if they fix the issues with the mouse lag/input lag as well that LevelCap covered in his beta commentary. I'm waiting for his retail video to see if those things are fixed(unlikely, since some of those things are engine-related which would require more fundamental changes which are possible but not easy).

I'm glad I didn't pre-order or buy at launch. There isn't really a serious competitor to CoD on PC if you think about it. The other FPS games are completely different in nature(BF4, CS:GO etc). Having a decent fast-paced shooter is a welcome addition to the PC FPS roster. This game - fixed of its optimisations and engine issues and with mod tools - has that potential.

I wish there as an alternative that played like bulletstorm

You could say the same of Batman, and Assassin's Creed, and Battlefield...

I wonder if it's a coincidence that GameWorks is such a recurring theme in broken games, though, since that makes 3 out the four games I've referenced in this thread. I don't think it's the cause, but at the same time it could be a sign of laziness... though Treyarch isn't lazy... I think we need to start pushing for Nvidia to open source GameWorks.

gameworks is bad in many ways. Besides the anti-competitiveness, it really can make devs more and more careless/"lazy". by taking responsibility out of their hands with closed libraries they can't learn to do certain things themselves and get potentially sloppy in other areas.

Oh, I have no doubt Treyarch will fix it, and fix it quickly at that. However, in all my years of gaming I have never, not once, seen a game perform this badly for me. You'd think my pc could just brute force it's way through any "poor optimization" issues, it's not that, something is fundamentally broken with the title on some systems. I know plenty of people are running it without issue, I'm not one of them. :(

The first or second game I tried after getting home tonight while on Ventrilo with a friend, I commented to him after the round was over..."I killed every single person I saw on my screen while not frozen up, every last one of them". I went like 8 and 18 or something, so that gives you an idea of how often I couldn't actually control my character.

Pretty much all the review sites that praise it with ridiculous 9/10 or 9.5/10 we can be sure they are all paid shills.

What's the name of this program? Also, wow. That is abysmal. I was about to say that you must not have played Arkham Knight if this game is the worst you've played, but... This is just ridiculous.

The name is in the picture, FLA calculator.

Also tri sli without mantle or dx12, your system has to transfer all the textures and other data between disk, system and graphics three fold no wonder it chokes up.

Is "paid shill" your favorite phrase or something? You use it a lot.

How would you describe complete sell-outs like all the game reviewers who lavish praise on such a turd? Hey, it's okay for these studios to keep on shipping broken games at AAA prices!! 9.5/10!

I disabled SLI, it still choked. Thought it might be audio related, switched from my Logitech G930s to the Realtek audio device, nope. I changed every single setting available, no help. Thought it might have issues with high refresh rates, wasn't improved at 60Hz. I even tried changing my mouse polling rate back to default, nothing. I would have liked to have tried it before the immediate patch that hit just after release, just to see if the patch that helped i5 users is what screwed me.

whe can I download this tool? I googled FLA and frame latency analyzer calculator and got a bunch of weird results, nothing that points me to a software site.

appreciate it!

P.S. awesome setup you got there!

Where are you getting those reviews from? Only ones I've seen for PC, the highest was 90/100 and the rest were like <80 with documentation of the issues.

Are you looking at console reviews and screaming shill? From what I saw in some streams, the PS4 version doesn't seem as broken.

They might not be lazy as a whole but I can almost guarantee they did a lazy port of the game to the PC. For some titles or developers who's main audience is not on the PC it's probably not a priority to make the game run properly on the Windows platform. Not when there are map packs to create for season pass buyers and a launch date to hit.

That being said, I was doing some testing on my 7950 and I found out that turning down the shadow maps one notch, increases the framerate and overall performance by around 250%.

Here is the respective video.

CoD Black Ops 3, Shadow Map Quality, Radeon users, turn that shit down

I will try to see how it runs on my 5850 lol.

Also I added another 4GBs of RAM to that system, after I made this video and it was night and day. Haven't seen such a great difference just by adding RAM, in any other game.

I will post my benchmarks tomorrow because they take a loooong time to upload.
