What is this "data cap" people speak of? That sounds ridiculous to me. A fake cap to make more money from you? You can only download so much stuff per month? LOL!

Regarding the game....

I don't see the logic in that, quite the opposite. A large install size for silly reasons will only push people to pirated versions that cut out unneeded local languages, cut scenes, etc.
True, but then since when have anti-piracy "bright ideas" been based around logic or common sense?...

I don't know if Titanfall was pirated but it's audio seems like a bit too much for pirates to slim down. If they did, they should tell Respawn about it.

COD Ghosts was ~50GB IIRC. I didn't play it but TotalBiscuit didn't have anything nice to say about the PC version. Activision studios are bound to eventually remember they made a good game over a decade ago.

UCAV's. EMP drones and Exosuits are nice, Hardline and Kevin Spacey are cool too but maybe it's time to revisit BF1942 and original COD settings and gameplay. Or maybe not, the lack of gimmicks to exploit in that era may expose the games.

Had satellite net for a short time, 10gb is the max but i believe midnight to 4am it was unlimited downloads. Paid for 20mb i believe and could download at 30+mb speeds.:awe: My town has one company for dsl and for quite a while they gave to shaft to people as far as our connection goes.

The most fun you can have on that satellite is games like COD games and CS:GO against bots, the only multiplayer that worked somehow was Crysis 2 and some act of god allowed me to play that well.

Wow this franchise is being milked for every penny! Honestly, I don't understand how people keep paying for this trash.

I can only speak for myself, but it's with Paypal via Steam, pre-ordered months in advance.

I think they got at least $60 out of my for DLC on COD: Ghosts too...

Yeah that is nuts, the complete Ghost experience with all dlc right now is $180 and it contains 50 items while. I bought Black Ops 1 in 2011 for $60 and it contained no dlc but today the entire experience is $80. So more then double the money for a whole entire game basically these days.

Might check out the COD4 stuff, outside of the first Black Ops game i haven't had a interest in another COD honestly. Always wanted to buy COD4 but never got around to doing it.

The COD games aren't bad at all. Commercialized? Yes. Pointed towards the masses, yes. But they're good games.

If you have a decent, modern rig, now would be a great time to play through some of the COD games. Start with COD4 and work up! If just want the 'tour' put settings on easy and have fun!

The Ghosts DLCs added new Extinction maps, which was the best multiplayer game mode, along with regular multiplayer maps, which no one played because cheating was rampant. So basically I was paying $15 per extinction chapter.

Yeah dlc maps in multiplayer games can be bs, it can be hell even finding a premium North American server in BF3 these days and some maps and game modes are basically dead like gun master or scavenger....

A lot of pundits are saying that this will be a true "next gen" COD. I'm waiting for reviews....

Kevin Spacey is awesome though!

Games are developed for the lowest denominator. Considering this is on the ps3 and xbox as well, i'm going to say horseshit.

I think Ghosts was around 36 GB for the SP and core game, another 18 GB for MP.

I am happy to hear that we have a game using lossless audio. But now that everyone has demanded it ... I guess they're going to compress the audio later into lossy with no way to get the original lossless back.

They are gen purpose DSPs used for audio. a system with a 4790k could do it fine if the devs were willing

It's been confirmed that the PS4's DSP is a version of AMD's TrueAudio. Not sure about Xbone. And, yes I would think that a high end Quad should be able to handle audio in place of a dedicated DSP just fine. However, I don't know for absolute sure. Either way, I'm glad I have my sound card for the old EAX games :awe:

xbox one, PS4 and Radeon cards all use the same DSP. But until there's a similar one in NVIDIA cards and on Intel CPUs going back 3 years and a high level API to go along with it, it may as well not exist on PC. I can't believe anyone would have thought devs would bother supporting it otherwise.
