EDIT: Fixed, thanks to all that helped with the movie files.

OMG its driving me nuts. If I hit a key to stop it the game crashes, so I end up having to watch that frickn' intro movie every time I start the game.

Yes, I tried google but didn't find anything.

In the past there was just a file you renamed, or something you added to the end of the shortcut...is that the case here? If so, PLEASE help a fella out and let me know what it is...

TIA

I thought you would have memorized every quote from the movie. Time to go watch it again :p

Listen to what the soldiers say right before the missiles go into the air.

So simple you will smack your head.

You can go into the Video folder and delete/rename the Bink Video files you don't want to see.

You obviously have a video/audio/driver problem if it crashes if you try to pass it with Esc, etc.

Try installing an updated Bink player.

Thanks, got the bink player and figured out which one it was and renamed it.

This happened with one of the GRAW games too, never really figured out what the problem was with the crashing. I think it's just my old POS box.

Must be my old box. :(

I can get through the initial firing range, and then most of the shipboard training but it always seems to crash at that point.

Upgraded sound/video/directX and nothing works. Even tried disabling everything I could, but it still loves crashing on me. Looks like I have to wait until I upgrade before I can play this one.

I'm pretty sure its my processor, 2100+ thoroughbred B. (Even though I do have it overclocked to "CPU Clock 2191.3MHz" which is a 3100+ )

Like I said, old system but if I want to upgrade something its going to have to be the entire box. I upgraded the sound to an extreme gamer x-fi and put in a X1950 pro video card a while back, but that's the last money I will invest in such an old system.

I will say though, that chip is how AMD fanboys came to be, one hell of an overclocker...

our so called leaders prostituted us to the west, destroyed our culture, our economy, our honor. just as they lay waste to our country we shall lay waste to theirs.

OK, thanks for helping me disable that intro video.

I finally got the game working, seems I had a corrupt dll file in there. Fixed that and now the game screams along at 1280x1024 with some lights, AA, and medium textures, go figure.

I'm now on day 4 or 5. Fun game but man those choke areas bug me. You know, you could shoot for days at the same area and guys would keep coming out, the only way to avoid it is to move on. They needed to be a bit more clear in their objectives, like having somebody yell "Lets go already!" or something.

Overall, arcade like but lots of fun. (Throw the grenade back, lmao.)

EDIT: Made a separate account just for the shoothouse. I'm going to keep running that thing, hella fun. Got a 3.xx accuracy last time through in 30ish seconds. It's like golf, you can always do one better...

It's been said over and over:

Most spots aren't constant respawns. There are even spots you just have to put in a few shots and wait it out (tank escort).
Eventually they will stop but once you move up it's the same thing.
