Call of Duty 3 - possible to play online with both PS2 & PS3?

My brother picked up a PS3 recently and wants me to pick up COD:3 for online playing. I only have a PS2, but he said he looked into it and said it could play with the PS3 version. I have the network adapter for my old fatty...so is there any truth to that? I'm not a big COD fan, but family time is family time 😉

yes im pretty sure cod is online. just check on the back of the game at the store it will say. I plan on buyin that game sometime today or tomorrow and ill let u know how it is. BTW Resistance: fall of man sucks online incase u were thinkin of gettin it.

they need to make cod3 for the pc. i can't believe they did that. their biggest fanbase is probably on the pc since thats where it started...just doesn't make sense.

Co-op and 4-way deathmatch are pretty fun, my brother has a PS3. He said online was insane, like 40 people running around, you die quick. He called Playstation who said that the PS2 and PS3 COD3 games will play together online. I don't want to blow $50 finding out lol.
