Yea, I know I'm late to the party, but I just started playing this game and it is awesome. Best FPS I have played in a while. The fighting is always so intense. Only downside is that it lags a bit during the huge battles 🙁
 
i think so. i don't really like how they went with the hud/croshair disappearing when you move, but its still fun
 
I think it's better. If you're playing on normal difficulty right now, replay it on hard after you're done. It's almost like a different game, absolutely fantastic.
 
My roommate bought it but never plays it, so I threw it on and play multiplayer every once in a while. It's alot of fun (although spawning right next to a grenade that's about to explode is REALLY annoying...wish they'd give you 2 second invincibility or something). It's a blast and it runs pretty well on my aging machine.

I didn't particularly like the first CoD game, but 2 is pretty good. Wish they would release CoD3 on PC, but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen...

the stock mp is really slow. i found a server that has a good mod but there seems to be several cheaters on it. haven't found another server with that mod either.

maybe i need to recheck the stock version or check some other servers because i really miss playing fps games online. except for the cheaters part.
 
Slow, in what way? I only play on 1 server, no cheaters, lots of good players, and it's extremely fast paced. Guess it depends on what mode you play on though.

i always play ctf. it seems like your character runs too slow.
 
It is a great game. Never played more than the demo of the first, but have played right through the SP in COD2. Is 3 out yet?
 
:thumbsdown: CoD1 was much better than CoD2. the SP in CoD2 sucked for the Russians and the Brits... it was decent for the US. CoD1 multiplayer (Especially UO) was way better too :|

Yepp, COD was amazing, it was a really awesome game. COD2 felt so "eh"
 
While I wasn't a big fan of the British I thought the Russian campaign was pretty good. The American one was the most intense by far, but the Russian one was pretty challenging in parts which I liked.
 
Plus I feel like they ported it from the 360. It ran like crap on my pc and it didn't even look that amazing.

COD was just so amazing. Graphics, GAMEPLAY, sound, everything was all-around superb. And it ran like it should have, not like COD2. it was a good game don't get me wrong but it was nothing like the first. Kinda like halo 2 and halo.


 
I didn't play CoD on the PC do I can't compare the 2 graphics-wise. All I know is that it ran pretty good on my 9800pro, and really kicked ass when I got my x850pro. The particle effects are great, the smoke looks real without destroying performance, and everything just runs really well for me.
 
I still maintain that the best WWII game (ever) was Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Such a great game, they're starting to get too technical with this "you've gotta aim down the barrel to hit anything) move. I miss the run and gun action...

One thing I hate on CoD2 is any multiplayer map that includes the Russians...the Russians WILL win. That stupid sub machinegun is ridiculously overpowered. Super rate of fire, huge drum magazine...it's almost annoying. Rather it be a little more balanced...

yeah, i don't really care when FPS games become sims. just let me run and shoot
seems like more and more games are going this route now.
