call of duty 2

got my free copy of call of duty 2 today (free because of EVGA video card deal)
i only played mp so far but wow, me like!!
there's still a few things i don't like about it, but its amazing. definitely worth the purchase if you are thinking about it.

Seriously, other devs need to copy the method they are using for the smoke effects.

It'd be my favorite game of all time (up till this point) if it was more like the original. The guns are noticably less accurate when not using the sights compared to CoD, and I hate how the HUD fades (including the x-hair) when you move. I'm waiting till it's in the <$20 bargain bin because of that.

i do hate how the hud disappears. not sure i noticed any options to fix that though.

one thing i always hated about cod games is the crosshairs. i'm guessing its because they are trying to make it more realistic when shooting (innacurate guns, etc) but i just hate that.

The guns arren't innaccurate. Firing from the hip while you are running is highly innaccurate.

Overall I would say it has the same feeling as the original COD which I have enjoyed pretty much

Awesome game. The music, the sound effects, it's just wild.

I still like COD and the expansion pack better though!

hmmm....one more thing i'm not liking...the mp maps are all the same maps from the original cod!!! wtf???

there's like 3 new maps that i've seen so far...

Nawh, just a couple. They did that so that veterans would be automaticlly familiar with some maps. Kinda like CS over the years.

just a couple? it looks like every map from cod 1 is in there.
