Call of Duty 2 Slight prob

I've been play COD2 with no probs until now. Somehow, during this mission objective I cannot regain my health and as a result I die like a dog EVERY time. I don't know if that's how the game's suppose to go or what but I dont like the idea.
Help would be deeply appreciated!

I know it doesn't have a heath meter in the game. Your health is suppose to recharge when you avoid being hit for a few seconds. But at this point in the game my health does not recharge and I don't know why. I don't know if it's a glitch or if that's how the game is suppose to go.

Your rig link is broken but I suspect you're using a dual-core system?

If so this is a known issue. You'll need to set the affinity of one of your cores to zero.

are you still being shot or you just never regain health when you're safe?
at one point an enemy got stuck under the ground but was still able to shoot me. took me awhile to get past that section. it was obvious i was being shot though, so who knows.

Yeah, I remember having the exact same problem. My character would keep breathing heaviliy, even after resting for an extended period of time. After that, I was easy pickings. And yes, I also have a dual core system. I never knew this was a documented problem however, and am glad to know there's a solution if it were to happen to me again.

InsiderGamer, you have the exact exact exact same problem I have. I get hit, then he breathes heavily so I run away to rest for a few seconds. But he never stops breathing heavily and so my health never recharges so I die easily

I have dual core 3800+ X2 and was just playing tonight and recovered my health a few times when I got beat up pretty badlly.
Never noticed any problems.

Spacelord,

this only started happening to me on this mission...D-Day 1944 but all the other missions before this one were perfect.

The only patch available for COD2 is developed for INTEL processors. Not only that, it has problems with 8x.xx Nvidia Video drivers.

So basically, I have been given the shaft.

Wierd, mine does that too *also on a dual core*.

I always thought it was supposed to be that way heh. I was wondering where all the $%^*^ medics were 😉

i ran through the whole game with that patch, nv 81.98 and an x2 without a single problem.

i know its not that helpful, but i wouldn't hesitate trying the patch.

Try the game's dual core patch; if it still doesn't work consider changing the Windows HAL to standard PC. You'll lose dual-core but your glitches should all be gone.

Since I put in that dual core patch, it tells me that it has detected a new configuration since last run. If I say no to redoing it, the game is choppy. If I say yes.. I have to go in and change my resolution back to my widescreen resolution and bring the antialias back a notch.. but then it seems to run ok. something is funny with that patch.

Fingolfin269,

you don't understand man....I HAVE NO CHANCE lol. I get killed every single time. I just plain NEED health...at least one recharge. Cuz this happens right in the middle of a shoot out. My luck.
