OK, i have a KT7A-RAID, and an atholon 1Ghz@1.1Ghz

in BIOS i have it set up as a 10x multiplier w/ a 110mhz bus

now i know this is weird, but should i have it somehow at a 5x multiplier at 220mhz? i know they athlons are supposed to run at a 200 or 266mhz bus, but the multiplier thing is kinda bugging me. anyone got a good explaination as to how i can logically think of this as being correct or incorrect?

Athlons run on a double-pumped 100mhz bus. The 266 Athlons run on a double-pumped 133 bus. You're okay.

i don't think the Thunderbird can do 220fsbx2 = 440fsb. If yours does it then you have a one of a kind processor.

umm, i think we're all a little confused here.

when calculating the core clock of the cpu, you use the sdr fsb not the ddr fsb. in your case, you are running at 10x110 not 5x220

the 220 is simply your effective speed, meaning that your REAL fsb is at 110, but data is being double pumped as though the fsb was at 220.

it's almost impossible to get a 220 fsb (sdr) on an athlon.
