I'd like the Parhelia to setup a MAME/emulation setup, since it seems that Matrox's Parhelia seems to be whupping everyone's Ass in 2d maniuplation and emulation jobs. Can anyone on the boards confirm this and back it up with some sort of framerate numbers and experiences with the Parhelia/MAME and such?

This station is going to be going to a "Game bar" so while cost is an issue, performance is a greater one.

although i like matrox and i like parhelia, it would probably be overkill. for less money you could just buy a faster cpu which would probably make more of a difference. if you've got a 1.5Ghz or whatever cpu, i would think that that would make more of a difference than a video card ever would (for 2d stuff anyways). then again if you have money to blow, why not...matrox is a good company to support. but if you are on any kind of a budget (like most), then i'd say just put the money towards more cpu.
