And not even close to 'CA's problem with the economy', which include the inability to tax, the erosure of the tax base, and giving the 1/3 Republicans a budget veto.

Let those in power, write their own pay check....don't you see it clearly now?
They don't care about tomorrow they think they can retire!

They can - the city manager, I heard tonight, has resigned but appears to be eligible for a $710K pension.

It most certainly is a part of the problem. Way too much overhead in useless government positions draining money from the economy. Then those idiots retire and cost the state more money in obscene retirement packages and benefits.

Once again you focus on the state taking more money from the people rather than where the focus should be - reducing wasteful spending. By the way, they tax the hell out of people already, you're really talking about the inability to raise taxes even more not the inability to tax. The erosion of the tax base is a direct result of stupid policies that those who actually produce something more likely to leave the state.

Yeah if only the republicans got out of the way, California would be a liberals paradise. California has one the highest personal income taxes in this country. They can tax just fine.
The best part about the liberals paradise. They show you what they really think of the middle class. 9.3% income tax rate on people making over 47K a year. That is the second highest braket in the state.
