Oh, this is fucking rich.

Federal prosecutors unsealed an indictment against state Sen. Leland Yee in court Wednesday, accusing him of conspiring to commit wire fraud and traffic firearms.

In all, 26 people, including former school board president Keith Jackson, were indicted on charges related to an extensive crime ring headed by well-known Chinatown figure Raymond Chow, who was also arrested and charged Wednesday.

The indictment alleges Yee and Jackson defrauded "citizens of honest services" and were involved in a scheme to traffic firearms in exchange for thousands in campaign donations to the senator.

Federal prosecutors also allege Yee agreed to perform official acts in exchange for the money, including one instance in which he introduced a businessman to state legislators who had significant influence over pending medical marijuana legislation. In exchange, the businessman -- who was actually an undercover FBI agent -- agreed to donate thousands to Yee's campaign fund, according to the indictment.

The indictment also describes an August 2013 exchange in which Jackson told an undercover officer that Yee had an arms trafficking contact. Jackson allegedly said Yee could facilitate a meeting for a donation.
Chow, who has been connected over the years to the criminal gang Wo Hop To and is known as "Shrimp Boy," was indicted for money laundering, conspiracy to receive and transport stolen property, and conspiracy to traffic contraband cigarettes.

The indictment was unsealed in federal court in downtown San Francisco after FBI and other law enforcement officials carried out multiple raids early Wednesday. FBI agents also searched Yee's Sacramento office Wednesday.

San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr described the raids to KCBS as "massive." "Hundreds of officers are involved in this," he said.
Dan Lieberman, Yee's press secretary, said Wednesday morning that his office would not comment on the FBI raids. Representatives for the U.S. attorney's office could not immediately be reached for comment.

Maybe the FBI should see if other anti-gun nut Senators and Congressmen are involved... Who knows how far the conspiracy stretches. Good thing they have those Rico powers for instances such as these.

The sfgate website has the affidavit of the complaints/charges filed by the FBI. The entire account is eye opening to say the least in regard to this anti-gun nut's past positions. However then it makes sense now that everything is in the light. It seems to me IMHO he probably wanted his black market arms dealing associates to benefit from the banning of rifles (and if possible the heavy handed restrictions of firearms in general) in CA because such a ban would raise the price of black market firearms and would also help to boost the overall demand for a black market for firearms in the state.

http://www.sfgate.com/file/757/757-complaint_affidavit_14-70421-nc.pdf

If you skim through you'll see just how sleazy and dangerous this guy was compared to the average law abiding gun owner in CA.

Not surprising. California's pathetic government is really just another third world banana republic.

Just because a few people who are in favor of gun control have been found to be corrupt, does not undermine the importance of smart gun control. The world needs to be safe from assault weapons, and corrupt politicians. Having guns in the right hands (the authorities) and honest politicians is the only path to peace in this nation.

This guy is going to give the gun control movement a black eye,

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Govern...dly-Tied-to-International-Weapons-Traffickers

The FBI affidavit describes conversations about shipments of automatic weapons and talk of heavier weapons, including shoulder-fired missiles and artillery.

One arms trafficker Yee allegedly discussed sourced weapons from Russia. Another trafficker, in an alleged meeting with Sen. Yee, political consultant Keith Jackson, and the FBI informant on March 11, 2014, allegedly discussed arms to be obtained from the Philippines. The affidavit claims the arms trafficker claimed personal relationships with Islamic rebels in the Philippines, though the weapons were supposedly to be obtained from sources inside the Philippine military.

Sounds like a socialist or communist. Gun control for the citizens, but people in the government get to make deals for shoulder mounted rocket launchers and automatic weapons.

It would not be so bad if the guy was anti-gun. At least then he would not be a hypocrite.

Why do you want guns in the hands of honest politicans? That makes no sense so therefore I declare your entire argument invalid.

And I'd add no abuses of power or authority. Governance based on proper stewardship, not partisanship. Government by of and for the people, not political or personal gain.

You're right Olds, never happen.

This makes me feel betrayed and clowned, like a complete fool. I feel stupid for taking people like him at his word, that he is anti gun because he cares about safety. It was a cover for him, like Ted Haggard preaching hate against gays and liars.
Our rights are being trampled and taken away just so corrupt bitches like this guy can get away with his little side jobs. We should take the constitution word for word and just start carrying guns openly. Its our right and fuck me if this asshole gets to toy with our rights.
Self serving bitches who really don't give a fuck about the people. He would sacrifice our RIGHTS just to create a cover for his side jobs!

You read that wrong, or I perhaps wrote that wrong.

Having guns in the right hands is important. Having honest politicians is important.

Understanding America's historical founding relationship with firearms in the hands of individuals, can you explain what you meant then?

Who are the "right hands"? And why are "assault weapons" bad?
