California Lawmakers Propose Voting Age Lowered to 14

You neglected to mention that 14-15 year olds only get 1/4 vote and 16-17 year olds only get 1/2 a vote.

Still though, I don't think the voting age needs to be lowered.

Let's bring back the 3/5 Compromise as well. It makes just as much sense as this does. The majority of people that young don't have an interest in politics, nor do they have the knowledge required to make a good decision. Of course, most of America doesn't either...but still...
 
Seems like it would benefit the politicians most. Teenagers are probably much easier to manipulate than older demographics... supposing you could get them to actually vote in the first place (since they're probably more apathetic than older demographics too), it'd be a nice percentage to control.

But I don't know why anyone would vote for this... I mean, if a whole new section of the population is allowed to vote, that suddenly makes my vote worth less! And don't try to compare this to women's suffrage; women don't turn into men in 4 years. Usually.
