That's right folks--California is a terrible place. Don't come here! Or if you do, spend all your money then go back home. But leave your daughter for a few days.
heh

Oh, and don't forget to take a dozen illegal immigrants with you. We seem to have a bumper crop this year...

haha, they seem to be everywhere!
spread the wealth!

You people start these threads all the time. Will you continue to start them when your state economcially and finacially implodes?

that would be very bad for the rest of the US too.
But then maybe I'll finally be able to afford a house here once everyone leaves.

It would not be as bad for the rest of the country as Californians think. Although CA is a huge economy it is for the most part self serving as it can only export goods and services that cannot be done cheaply elsewhere, and just about anywhere is cheaper to do anything than in CA.

CA has the 5th or 6th largest economy in the world actually.

yea. its funny how other states keep trying to steal away businesses through tax incentives and such for businesses because they can't generate their own😛 i still don't see ebay/intel/google/pixar/nvidia/apple/ilm etc etc etc trying to move to minnesota lol😉 all the successful business we have sorta explode the myth that cali is business hostile.

That's a tautological argument, and a silly one at that. Picking companies that happen to be in your state and using that as an example proves nothing. Pixar is a company small by such standards and doesn't even belong in the list.

Most of the top 50 companies in the US with the largest capitalization are not in CA. In fact, if you look at them, many of them are likely from states that you'd ridicule.

..it's a crap magnet..which is good. All the refuse from the other states wana go there so it has a cleansing effect on all the other states. The challenge is keeping the crap contained once it gets there. And that goes for Calif.politics too.

I am from California and am currently living in Terre Haute, Indiana. This really isn't a fair comparison but California beats Indiana anyday.

Other places I have visited: North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Utah, and Illinois.

I wouldn't mind living in some of those places, but I really enjoy the weather and the feel of the city I live in. I am about an hour or two north of LA. Far enough away to avoid the big city terribleness, but close enough to take advantage of stuff.

I would like to visit some other places, such as Washington and New York, but I could be happy living in California the rest of my life.

So you guys want assault rifles to overthrow the USA? You would need a lot more than that. When the constitution was written we didn't have tanks or nuclear weapons.

With that type of logic we should legalize tanks and fighter jets for civilians.

when the 4th amendment was written there were quite a few other weapons besides 'arms,' (artillery, for one) and the 4th amendment clearly doesn't contemplate artillery (or else they would have said arms and artillery). and artillery was useful even back then.

but ya know... look at how much of a problem iraq is. and they don't have nuclear weapons or tanks. lots of people that can blend in with small arms are quite effective.

I'm in the process of moving out of California and looking forward to the change. The cost of living is getting so outrageous, traffic sucks, state budget is all messed up, education is going down the drain...and the list goes on and on.

I do not mean to get off the subject, albeit a silly subject, nor do I want to start a new one, but I would hardly call what you just stated effective.

i keep hearing california is going to slide into the ocean. can we get a move on with this? i'd like it to happen soon.

The Majestic 12 just needs to detonate a few nukes along the San Andreas fault and the deed will be done. Only a twenty or so more years!
