so it seems that ca community colleges fees will go from $11 to $18 per unit, as the fall semester have not started yet will they try to collect the addional fund or will this fee go in to affect for winter semester?

budget passing or not I know GCC is moving to 18 / unit.. other schools like PCC was running 24/unit since beginning of this year while we were at 11/unit.

From my sources its going to go to 18/unit.

for my friend at grad school at a csu, he paid his fees awhile back, then checked online a few weeks ago and noticed a higher balance for fall. so he paid it off before his classes were dropped.

maybe its effective immediately for all california public schools (UC, CSU, CC)

intersting, i have a feeling that alot of people will be pissed if they get charged after they already paid for the classes

thats still really cheap, that equates to about $25 a class more which shouldnt be a big deal.

just checked my fees and i found this

Enrollment fees are currently $11 per unit. However, due to the state budget crisis, fees may be increased effective for the Fall 2003 semester. You will be notified of any changes as soon as they have been determined by the state legislature.

For once in my life, I agree with you. However, not everybody is in the middle class. But for those who are, they shouldn't whine much about a dirt cheap education becoming a cheap education, short notice or otherwise.
