Hi.

I can't imagine there is a better ebook Manager, forget free, than Calibre.

But, it updates like every three days.....and, tho it takes no time, does a whole new installation.....tho it does clean up after itself. But almost every time I open it, there it is saying new version available, and I just get it.

WHY DOES IT DO THAT?

Am I being an ingrate in finding this really annoying? Apart from definitions updating in anti virus/antimalware.....what other app does this???

Thank you.

That thought crossed my mind for about 10 seconds till I realized that I didn't have to upgrade if I didn't want to and that the developer was just giving me updates as quickly as they came out. It took me a bit of time to get my OCD under control so that it wouldn't bother me to see the 'upgrade to v0.96" message anymore. If nothing was missing or going wrong then I just kind of ignored it. Then, out of shear guilt for being unappreciative, I sent him $10.

O!!!!!!! Yes! Never crossed my mind to ignore! Cept I think, for me, would make me nervous NOT TO GET ALL OF THEM.

I think, cause I don write code, and this thing rocks in so many ways, I think whatever they are doing every eleven seconds....must be important verging on vital.

I also just realized, for me, the feeling is exactly the same when Hotfix Tuesdays arrive and there are more patches/critical updates from MS. Tho that is at least not every 7 seconds.

THANK U! You are bringing perspective!!!!!!

And, for feeling guilty and unappreciative in the ignoring... and sending him the ten dollars....I send you many HUGS.
