Calibration question...

I've been using an Avia DVD to calibrate my television. Works perfectly. Is there any calibration device I can get that can work for my CRT-HD television that will also work for my computer's LCD (IPS) monitor?

Yep. In fact this is the recommended path. If you have an HDMI in to your CRT-HD or even VGA in - you can use a colorimeter, such as the Spyder - and free software from the AVSforum thread: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=737550

It isn't at all automatic, in fact its fairly difficult to get perfect, but once done its very very good. I haven't used the Avia DVD though. But then you take your calibration settings found for the PC input for the TV and replicate them on the input you intend to use on the TV. Now that you have a standard, you use the colorimeter on the LCD monitor and adjust - presto 2 screens, same colors (if the hardware will do it).
