Calibrate LCD

Hi guys,

I'm about to purchase a Dell 2005 fpw (my first LCD) 😀

I have read that you relly ought to calibrate the contrast/brightness/colors. My question is: what do I really need to do when I first plugin my LCD? Are there any free tools/programs around?

Cheers!

the monitor has an auto calibrate function i believe.

TEST SCREENS v. 2.5

auto claibrate work for me.

I use VGA out and im not sure dvi ount need any calibration though.

Thanx!

What is Test Screens 2.5? Can I download it from somewhere (no luck on google)?

Nice with auto calibration!

I would suggest that you just play with the gamma level through your video card driver. Adjust the colors to your liking. In my case, I prefer the colors to be a little more "vibrant" rather than accurate.
