Will never happen - we can't even get rid of daylight savings time, despite all the grumping.

I propose a 13 month calander with each month having exactly 4 weeks.

What about the extra 1.2422 days every year?

So we'll have an odd month and leap year still.

Yeah, wouldn't it be great to have your birthday on a monday EVERY year.

I was thinking that. If they changed it, everyone would want their birthday or holiday to fall on a Sat.

I propose a calender with 365 days a year and no months, because they are more of a hassle than people seem to think. Each individual business can decide its own schedules without conforming to a 7 day schedule. High stress jobs could have 3 days in work, 1 day out work, repeat. Part time jobs could go 10 straight days then two off days... without the 7 days in a week ~30 days in a month barrier, the possibilites are much better!

My point is that I'm just another wack job on the internet putting effort into what really doesn't need changed. There are so many more things in life to worry about. Besides, we love getting blessed with 3 day weekends and we love the idea of rollover holidays that make sure we get more of them... especially when the little kids have to be in school on at least one of the days because we worked on a different day!
