Calendar Sync to Google & Appointment Alerts

Calendar on Mac OS syncs with my Google account, but I just realized alerts don't sync, so I never get any reminders on my phone! Anyone have the same issue?
 
To clarify, I'm creating appointments in Calendar (OS X), and events are set to have a reminder 15 minutes by default. But when I view the same appointment on my iPhone, it has no reminders...

OT: anyone ever have a morning alarm go off on the iPhone without sound!? I've missed a handful of alarms already because the alarm was triggered, screen comes on... but no actual alarm sound...

My google calendar alerts work on my phone, I don't remember how I set up the calendar (web or iCal) though. My alarms also sometimes fail to sound too.

So you create an appointment in OS X, it syncs over to Google Calendar and you also get appointment reminders on your phone? On your phone, do the alerts sound 15 minutes before the appointment?

This is REALLY annoying, nothing worse than an alarm that doesn't work. 🙄 😱
 
I'm surprised that not many are syncing appointments from Calendar (OS X) to Google Calendar.

I've found a 'solution'... switch to iCloud! :biggrin: Alerts finally sync correctly now.
